Privacy Notice

This privacy notice applies to both Morley Consulting Limited and Morley Consulting Training Limited, which are separate legal entities.

Morley Consulting Limited and Morley Consulting Training Limited work together as “Morley Consulting” to provide services and training.

Both companies take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Notice is intended to help you to understand your rights and answer any queries you may have about your personal data. If you need more information, please contact us at:  privacy@morley-consulting.co.uk

If you have entered into a contract with either Morley Consulting Limited or Morley Consulting Training Limited, the controller of your data will be the company named in your contract or on your invoice.

If you have opted-in to our combined mailing list your data controller will be Morley Consulting Limited on behalf of both companies.

What information do we collect?

We collect and process personal data about you when you contact and interact with us and when you purchase services or training from us. The personal data we process may include:


  • your name
  • your home and/or work address, email address and/or phone number
  • your job title
  • your place and date of birth for Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT UK) Accredited training courses
  • your payment details, including billing address where you ask us to provide services or training
  • your address(es) where you ask us to provide services or training at your locations
  • details about the training courses you book and complete with us
  • Assessment results where you complete a relevant course with us
  • Dietary requirements when required for catering
  • Access requirements for training venues
  • and/or any other information you provide


We do not collect special categories of personal information.

How do we use your information and what is the legal basis for this use?

We process the personal data listed above for the following purposes:


  • As required to establish and fulfil a contract with you, for example, if you ask us to provide services or training.

         This may include:

  •  Communicating with you
  • Providing consultancy services and/or training
  • Invoicing
  • Sending you information updates on relevant topics
  • Registering you as a student/member with the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (for accredited courses only)


         We require this information in order to provide the services and training you request and are unable to do so without it


  • To comply with applicable law and regulation (we may monitor any client data to prevent, investigate and/or report fraud, terrorism, misrepresentation, security incidents or crime, in accordance with applicable law)


  •  To protect our legitimate business interests and legal rights, including but not limited to, use in connection with complaints, legal claims, compliance, regulatory and investigative purposes (including disclosure of such information in connection with legal process or litigation)

  • To send you periodic newsletters including marketing material via email when you have opted-in to this service.  You may opt-out at any time by sending an email to Unsubscribe@morley-consulting.co.uk

 
With whom and where will we share your personal data?

We will share your information between both Morley Consulting Limited and Morley Consulting Training Limited

We may also share your relevant personal data with the below third parties:

  • Our professional advisors such as our accountants, auditors and external legal and financial advisors
  • The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT UK) (only where you book an accredited training course)
  • Venue management for delegate registration, catering, access and fire safety
  • Search engine and web analytics providers
  • 3rd party providers of web & email hosting and payment processing services
  • Personal data may be shared with government authorities and/or law enforcement officials if mandated by law


If you pay for our services or training by credit card your credit card details are processed and held by the 3rd party payment provider (e.g. PayPal). Morley Consulting do not receive or store your credit card data.

Morley Consulting will not sell your data to 3rd parties, and will not share your personal data with 3rd parties for the purpose of marketing goods or services to you without your consent.

How long will we keep your personal data?

We will not keep your personal information for longer than is necessary and will only retain the personal information that is necessary for the purposes listed above.

We will retain relevant information as required by law or for as long as is reasonably necessary to meet regulatory requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and abuse, or enforce our terms and conditions.

Where you are a client, we will keep your information for the length of any contractual relationship you have with us and a minimum of 7 years following the completion of the contract.  Following this period we will only keep your personal data while you continue to interact with us or until you unsubscribe from our services.

If you choose to unsubscribe from our mailing list we will move your email address to our do not contact list and cease sending you email newsletters and updates within 48 hours.

Where is your data stored?

We use 3rd party organisations to provide our email, web hosting services and card payment services. These organisations are multinational organisations and as such your personal data may be transmitted via or stored in, countries outside the UK and EU.  We have carefully assessed these organisations’ standards to ensure that your data is secure. What are your rights in relation to your personal data?

You have the right to ask us to stop using your personal data for marketing purposes e.g. sending you newsletters. To do so send an email to Unsubscribe@morley-consulting.co.uk

Where you have consented to us using your personal data, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

If the information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete, you can notify us and ask us to correct or supplement it.

You have the right, with some exceptions and qualifications, to ask us to provide a copy of any personal data we hold about you.

If you have a complaint about how we have handled your personal data, you may be able to ask us to restrict how we use your personal data while your complaint is resolved.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your personal data. If you request this we will let you know if there is a reason that we cannot comply with your request.
