Incoterms® 2010 should be an essential element in any international contract for the movement of goods. The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Incoterms® are revised every ten years in order to keep up to date with changes to international law, supply-chain structure, modes of transport and procurement and sales trends. They are available in multiple languages and are legally binding.
Incoterms® 2010 clarify the apportionment of responsibility, cost and risk throughout the transit of the goods. This is especially relevant for today’s complex supply chains. Clarity of responsibility in contracts involving the global movement of goods is essential to avoid unexpected costs and risks and is a fundamental basis for trade compliance.

This course is designed for anyone who needs a greater understanding of the use and implications of Incoterms® 2010 in the global movement of goods including their role in customs compliance, insurance and cost control. Practical examples of best practice in differing environments and situations will be explored along with common pitfalls and solutions.
Attendees will gain not just a sound understanding of the terms themselves but more importantly the information required to use Incoterms ® 2010 to their advantage and to understand the implications and benefits of their use to aid quotation, procurement and sales contract negotiation.
