A guide to the new Union Customs Code (UCC)

Is your company ready to take advantage of the new rules or are you coasting towards the fast approaching implementation date with no idea how this new legislation will affect your business?

The Union Customs Code (UCC ) is a complete re-write of the customs law that governs import, export and intra-community trade.

The UCC marks a revolution in legislation with many significant practical impacts for businesses of all types.

In addition to explaining the UCC in plain English, this half day seminar focuses on the changes implemented in the UCC that will make a big practical and financial difference to business regardless of sector or size.      This includes guarantees, inward processing relief (IPR), Processing under customs control (PCC), end-use, temporary storage, export licencing, IT systems, first sale and prior sale.

All elements of the supply chain will be affected, from warehousing, logistics, freight forwarders, finance, IT providers, export traders, import buyers, global conglomerates to UK based SME’s and sole traders.

The UCC provides a significant boost to AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status which businesses that aim to stay successful should not ignore.

The financial consequences of the changes could have a major impact on UK companies which do not understand them and are unprepared.

If you are involved in import, export or intra-EU trade this update training is a must, offering hard to find practical guidelines to the Union Customs Code (UCC).
