Processing Under Customs Control (PCC)

From 1st May 2016 the Processing Under Customs Control (PCC) special customs procedure will cease to exist.    Instead a modified but roughly equivalent procedure which is inward processing, outward processing and processing under customs control all rolled into one will come into existence.   This new special procedure will simply be called ‘Processing’.

There will be expanded benefits both in terms of reductions in bureaucracy, expanded options permitting the removal of the processed goods either to free circulation within the EU using the duty rate of the imported goods or the processed goods or to export outside the EU along with the potential for new reductions in costs.

We are pleased to offer a new course called ‘Processing’ which is a detailed and practical guide to lead you through the maze of options and show how your company may be able to benefit from the new options for relief from import duty and VAT.

The new course also details the few transitional arrangements applicable under the Union Customs Code (UCC) for those who already hold a PCC Authorisation and wish to continue to obtain the benefits they currently enjoy after 1st May 2016.   It is vital that current holders of a PCC Authorisation start to plan now and take action to obtain a new authorisation before the end of 2015.
